PRESCOTT - It's game on at the Leo. The South Grenville Rangers made up for time lost to the recent closure of the community centre with two home games this past weekend.

On Saturday night, the Clarence Castors skated into the Fort Town to face off against the Rangers. South Grenville opened the scoring in the first, taking a 1-0 lead into the dressing room after 20 minutes of play. The Castors rebounded with a pair in the second period, turning the tables on the home team and taking a 2-1 edge into the third. The teams traded goals, each netting three in the final frame, with the Prescott squad losing by one goal in the 5-4 final. Prescott goals came from Devon Burns, Ethan Cragg, Zach Hotte and Devan Miller. Lee Spurgeon tended the net for the Rangers.

Spurgeon and the Rangers rebounded on Sunday when the Cumberland Bandits visited the Leo. This time it was Prescott's turn to hang on to a one goal lead in the dying moments of the game and squeak out a hard-fought 5-4 decision. Sunday's markers came from Jared Fenlong, Carson Pickup, Hayden Sayeau with single goals and Brody Ranger with a pair.

The win gives the Rangers seven points for the season. They currently sit in tenth place of the twelve-team National Capital Junior Hockley League (NCJHL) standings.

The Rangers host the Gatineau Hull-Volant at the Leo Boivin Community Centre on Saturday night, November 18. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
